after much nagging from my dear friend in the frozen midwest, i finally got my act together to get pictures of the finished seaglass sweater last weekend.
ravelry link here with bonus photos and details.
this sweater is the culmination of many years of obsession with jamie harmon's yarns, and many rhinebeck's worth of drooling over the sweaters in her booth. my inner six year old still wants one of the rainbow versions, but this sweater is the perfect age-appropriate compromise. the colors are more subtle than in the pictures - they blend beautifully and the green isn't as assertive as it looks in the photo. and fear not - the finished product is exactly as wonderful as i wanted it to be. it's one big, beautiful, smooshy soft angora hug of a sweater.
and also - bonus sweater coverage. i have no excuse for failing to get pictures of this sooner, since i actually wore this sweater at rhinebeck this year, but i give you ingrid:

this sweater is another winner. i've worn it to work bunches of times, but it still looks cute and casual over a pair of jeans. as you can tell from the photo, i really need to reinforce the button band with a little ribbon so the hook and eye closures don't pull so much, but all in all this sweater is great.
* forgive silly photos. apparently i was channeling my inner project runway model.
